A wealth of knowledge.
With the wealth of knowledge we have gained over the years, we can offer our input at the initial stages of any metal fabrications proposal. This means we can suggest design alternatives where appropriate; which can be cost-effective and help with project programming due to speedier drawing approval. We’ve helped deliver multi-million-pound contracts within budget and on time; or even ahead of schedule.
Flame Cutting
Flame cutters provide us with the capability to cut very thick materials. This ability is its advantage over the CNC plasma cutters. It is important to note that not all materials can be cut this way.
These cutters allows us to cut thicker materials than possible with plasma cutting expanding the range of the services we provide. Allowing you to get the parts you need no matter the thickness.
Our Capabilities include:
- Sheet Thickness – 20mm – 120mm
- Cutting Area – 4000mm x 2000mm
Tolerances are dependent on specific requirements with generally achieved ones being +/- 1.5mm per metre run
Plasma Cutting
CNC plasma cutting is one of the most common technologies for metal cutting. It is an ideal method for cutting thicker parts and coupled with the fast cutting speed provides cost-efficient parts.
Having two high definition plasma cutters allows us to efficiently cut different materials and thicknesses at the same time. Which helps us provide you with the best prices and lead times possible.
Our Capabilities include:
- Sheet Thickness – 1mm – 60mm
- Cutting Area – 8800mm x 3000mm
Tolerances are dependent on specific requirements with generally achieved ones being +/- 0.5mm per metre run
Folding
Metal folding allows to form sheet metal by applying force. This can be used to obtain a required shape without the use of welding. The minimum bending radius is dependent on plasticity and thickness of the material.
Our specialists carry out folding in house with the use of our brake press granting tight quality control for manufacture of folded angles, channels and stair treads.
Our Capabilities include:
- Maximum Sheet Width – 3000mm
- Maximum Sheet Thickness – 12mm
Tolerances are dependent on specific requirements
Shearing
Shearing is a metal fabrication process used to cut straight lines on flat metal stock. And is utilised as such allowing us to add another tool to our metal fabricating arsenal.
Our Capabilities include:
- Maximum Sheet Width – 3000mm
- Maximum Sheet Thickness – 12mm
Tolerances are dependent on specific requirements
Drilling
Drilling is used to add holes to the material. This can be required when the cutter is unable to cut the holes to specific dimensions or when specialised holes are needed.
Our team can fulfil any specialist hole requirements such as counter sinking, counter boring and reaming.
Our Capabilities include:
- Maximum Hole Diameter – 100mm
- Thickness range 1mm – 200mm
Tolerances are dependent on specific requirements
Plough Grinding
Plough grinding is material removal technique. It allows for time efficiency as it offers much higher rates of material removal compared to conventional grinding.
Additionally, larger areas can be machined without leaving witness lines when compared to conventional machining (milling).
Our Capabilities include:
- Maximum Dimension 1524mm x 525mm
- Thickness Range 5mm x 200mm
Tolerances are dependent on specific requirements with generally achieved ones being +/-0.25mm
Fabricating
Metal fabrication is used for production of end use products such as staircases, steel structures, mezzanine floors, gates and fencing.
The profiling done in house allows us to provide you with shortest possible lead times as well as reduced costs.
Our Capabilities include:
- Cutting
- Folding
- Drilling
- Welding
- Plough Grinding
- Shearing
- Shot Blasting
- Painting
Tolerances are dependent on specific requirements
